"Luisa Valsecchi was born in Vigevano, Italy, a beautiful Renaissance city outside of Milan surrounded by canals designed by Leonardo DaVinci and a town square girded by cloisters and a castle builted by the Sforza family with a clock tower created by Bramante. The daughter of an entrepreneur in the shoes industry and a talented seamstress, Luisa began her career at an early age designing her first collection for her favorite cartoon characters on the walls of her playroom. She studied at Italy's foremost design school, "Instituto Marangoni" in Milan that has produced some of the country's top designers including Domenico Dolce from Dolce and Gabbana. After graduating at the top of her class, she dove into the competitive world of the fashion industry, starting in some of the biggest fashion studios in Milan. For over twenty years, she has worked consistently designing, coordinating, and troubleshooting collections for a myriad of clients. Since 10 years she started her independent work with her own design studio named MAKE IT IN ITALY, consulting for the Fashion Industry. Uniting creative talent with practical skill, Luisa Valsecchi and her staff research and analyze tendencies and trends of international markets, producing exhibits, art and film festivals,as well as producing and coordinating collections including those in need of last-minute troubleshooting. From trends in yarns, knitwear, apparel and accessories, Make It In Italy team meets any challenge with passion and technical expertise. Specializing in knitwear and fabrics woman collection,MAKE IT IN ITALY worked and still works for some of the best knitwear and fashion collection in Italy, like the luxury brand Henry Beguelin, and other clients with commercial distribution like Hefton Italy for Anis Collection, Maglificio Montegrappa for Linea K and KFG and Mary Short's Tricot for La Via Delle Spezie and also technical cooperation with companies working with brands like Prada and Loro Piana. From 2011 MAKE IT IN ITALY also cooperates with Chinese companies , designing and coordinating their collections of knitwear and total look for China internal market."
