BSI Italy is looking for a Project Manager – Quality Assurance

Purpose of the position
The Project Manager will be responsible for the scoping and delivery of new and existing Quality Assurance projects that provide tailored solutions for clients from a diverse range of sectors.
This role will suit an outstanding communicator with the ability to build consensus amongst a variety of stakeholders, from understanding client relationships and establishing a strong partnership with them to managing the external resources and making sure to deliver projects to client expectations, on budget, to schedule and to the expected level of quality.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Delivery of services
Manage workload to ensure effective forecasting, risk management and timely delivery
Monitor and report on progress towards milestones/targets
Proactively identify ways to improve the service offering and the way the team works to deliver projects
Delivery of quality
Manage complex and challenging projects to deliver client value – organize workload and set/meet deadlines, ensuring prompt and high-quality project delivery
Agree project scope and schedule with client and other stakeholders
Ensure complete financial management of projects and liaise regularly with Finance
Comprehensively and effectively manage any client or stakeholder queries
Ensure broad representation of interests on steering group and ensure engagement with all stakeholders during public consultation
Management of projects
Proactively lead on solving problems as they arise throughout the duration of the projects
Identify, report on and manage project risk
Effectively manage relationship with client, External Resources, Sales Team, Finance and HR team
Maintain communication with the Sales team, who manage BSI’s contractual and commercial relationship with the client
Identify and notify the business development team of new business opportunities
As required, conduct pre-project analysis to identify potential project issues and expected resource requirements
As required, manage team improvement projects
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
ISO 45001, 18001, SA8000, 14064 knowledge or experience is a must
Qualifications to Degree level or equivalent
Excellent communications skills (chairing of meetings/client-facing)
Experience of facilitating group work at different corporate levels
Good presentation skills – verbal, written and formal
Extensive experience in project management, PRINCE2, six sigma, training is an advantage
Excellent command of word processing and project management tools, such as Word, Excel and SAP databases
Research experience an advantage
Willingness to travel for occasional national and international meetings
