In line with the Company standards, the On board Finance Specialist assists and controls all On board finance activities, ensuring that the On board financial procedures are applied and maintained. He will have a cross function activity within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Assists the On-board Finance Director/Accounting Manager in managing all on board finance and cash transactions;
Optimizes the on-board cash management scheduling, provides cash forecasts by ship and organizes embarkation and disembarkation of funds, if needed, in cooperation with Corporate Treasury department;
Updates the Excel Ship’s Cashbook according to the needs of all the parties involved and is also involved in the new management system development;
Works with cross function of the Finance Dept. Treasury/Accounting/Controlling) and other departments (Crew/F&B) and external concessionairesfor special projects/activities to be implemented on-board;
Active participation to the implementation of the on-board financial procedures and verifies their correct application; creates close relationship with the Hotel Manager on board and the Senior Management on shore;
Cooperates in VAT/Tax settings according to cruise’s itinerary, Tax Free invoices, identifying and resolving any discrepancies;
Prepares weekly, monthly, financial and tax reports to be shared with relevant offices;
Uses analysis software(Navision, B.O., Fidelio FMS) to verify the correctness of the on-board registrations, and creates automated reporting to be used by ashore offices;
Processes and sends on board the exchange rate for the cruise setup.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (skills, Competencies, Experience):

Fluent English (written, oral). Any additional European language (French, Italian, Spanish) is considered an advantage;
Degree in Economics/ Finance;
5 years’ experience in Finance in an international Company; 3 years as "On board Accounting Manager" on board, would be preferable;
Proven experience in a matrix environment and international level, managing the account pipeline process and driving discipline across the global team on board;
Good knowledge of MS Office tools (advanced Microsoft Excel skills) and Fidelio Cruise Ship Property Management System;
The knowledge of a Business analysis software (as B.O.) and experience with an ERP system (SAP or equivalent) will be a plus;
Excellent communication, strong organizational, problem solving, time management and numerical skills;
Multitasking ability and handling stress and working under pressure capacity;
Strong account, treasury and data analysis management skills.
