The MSC Foundation Is An Independent Non-profit Organisation Established To Pursue The Values Of The Family-owned MSC Group, And Specifically To Focus And Intensify Its Longstanding Work Dedicated To:

- Protecting the marine environment
- Conserving the earth's natural resources and wildlife in general
- Supporting communities struck by disaster and vulnerable populations around the world

The Communications & Social Media Specialist manages the communication and marketing plan of the Foundation, implementing a communication toolbox on all the Foundation's communication channels (websites, social media channels, etc.). The job holder will also facilitate the implementation and the integration of the Foundation toolboxes in the marketing plans of the other MSC group entities, when relevant.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages the Content creation, text selection, layout design, editing and proof-reading;
Writes and produces brochures and all above-the-line documents, sundry content creation and keeps communication channels up to date (web, PR, trade, consumer, social media, internal and external communications);
Oversees the maintenance, growth and continuous updating of all MSC Foundation web content, ensuring that all information is always correct, up-to-date and displayed in a dynamic, innovative and attractive manner, in line with MSC foundation strategy and positioning, with a special focus on SEO;
Supports in coordination of employee engagement initiatives and communication field missions (Haiti, Ivory Coast, Africa, Bahamas);
Keeps all stakeholders involved, informed and updated;
Ensures that the MSC FOUNDATION brand is fully and correctly implemented across all partners;
Supports local MSC offices in content management and events;
Writes scripts of promotional video and coordinates related logistics;
Analyses market trends and identifies new trends in the international environment.

Job Requirements:

Fluent English, both oral and written any other European language is an advantage;
Bachelor's degree in communication or Marketing and 8-10 years' experience;
Strong understanding of humanitarian issues, non for profit organisations and development programmes acquired through field and desk experience is a strong advantage;
Expert in communicating social media initiatives;
High level of computer literacy and good knowledge of communication channels technology (web, social media etc.);
Knowledge of search engine optimization techniques;
Strong creative and communication skills;
Working knowledge of social media and on online forums;
Results-oriented ability to handle multiple tasks and work to precise timelines.

Right to work in Switzerland.
